The collaboration between luxury jewelry maker Jacob & Co. and soccer star Lionel Messi has spawned yet another special edition timepiece. This time round, the special watch is a one-off created in aid of Only Watch, the biennial charity auction of unique timepieces created by the finest watchmaking brands. Called the Jacob & Co. Epic X Chrono Messi “Only Watch” Special Edition, it has the same case shape and design of the “Messi” timepiece previously created by the watchmaker.
Set in 18k white gold, it features blue details that not only contrast the shocking white color of the one-of-a-kind watch but also matches the theme of the upcoming auction. The 47mm case made of grade 5 Titanium is set with 36 baguette-cut blue sapphire gems and also features a blue mineral glass element to protect the column wheel chronograph system. The rubber crowns along with the “START,” “STOP,” and “RESET” engravings on watch are in bright red which beautifully highlight the watch.
The “Messi” logo can be found at the six o’clock position, while his signature is inscribed onto the mineral crystal caseback. The one with the winning bid for the watch will also get a meet-and-greet for two with the renowned footballer.
