Africa’s Largest Resort to Open in 2020 in Tanzania

Africa may be better known for its intrepid safari excursions than unadulterated luxury, but that reputation could be due to change with the opening of the continent’s largest luxury resort.

Spanning a grand total of 3,756 acres, the Zanzibar Amber Resort will feature five International hotels including the likes of The Ritz-Carlton Zanzibar, an all-suite and villa resort with over 90 rooms and water-front homes.

The development will also have its very own airport, meaning that visitors won’t need to worry about inconvenient transfers that cost time and money.

Furthermore, other eye-catching amenities at the luxury resort will include a golf course, a marine park, a facility for yachts, an underwater nightclub, a restaurant, a marketplace and a fully-equipped equestrian centre. The community will also have medical facilities and a private international school.

Private residential homes will be available to buy at the resort, including 3,440 luxury apartments and penthouses that will be built for all Tanzanians as well as non-Tanzanians to choose from.

This will make it the first time in the nation’s history that land in Tanzania will be available for non-citizens to purchase.

Unsurprisingly, there’s quite the anticipation surrounding the new Resort, with many predicting it will revolutionise East African tourism.

The ultra-luxurious African resort is expected to open sometime in 2020.
